So you want to get married? Congratulations!Getting Married in the Crawley Parish (e.g. at the Friary, Langley Green, Pound Hill etc)
Here are 2 basic questions?
* Are you ( and / or your partner to be) a Catholic?
* Does at least one of the Catholics live in Crawley?
If you can answer "Yes" to both those questions please contact the parish office to book an appointment with one of the clergy team to begin your paperwork and preparation (usually 12 months). If the Catholic party lives outside of Crawley, they should in the first instance contact their proper Parish Priest. If neither of you are Catholic please contact your local Minister of Religion for your denomination or faith.Getting Married in a Catholic Church outside of the Parish of Crawley (incl. Catholic Churches abroad)
If the Catholic partner lives in the Crawley Parish and wishes to get married in a Catholic Church outside of the parish, including Catholic Churches abroad, then they should normally complete, in full, their paperwork and preparation in the Crawley Parish. Please allow sufficient time to complete the process (usually 12 months). Please contact the Parish Office asap to make an appointment with one of the clergy team. Previous Marriages
If you have been married before (civil, religious) or even entered in to a civil partnership, please do not make any marriage plans without first booking an appointment with one of the clergy team who will advise you of the next steps. The Preparation
Following your enquiry to the Parish Office your marriage preparation will be allocated to one of the clergy team. They will journey with you across the course of the 12 months preparation. Along with the sessions with the priest or deacon, they will also encourage you to attend a marriage course delivered by some of the lay-faithful, those who are well-placed to explore this wonderful vocation.
For Crawley Couples, this will most likely be at Marriage Care
(see also: Crawley and Redhill Marriage Care
) who offer a "preparing together course" which they tailor for Catholic couples. The Crawley Centre makes use of DABCEC next to St Francis Primary School in Southgate Drive. If you would like more information and / or to book your place: Jane Gooderson – E-mail: [email protected]

The following parishes also run their own course and you may enquire of them the possibility of joining their course, but as a suplement to your meetings with one of the Crawley Clergy and not instead of.
