FEAST OF EPIPHANY
Today we celebrate the Epiphany of the Lord - the first manifestation of the newly born Son of God to the world, in the persons of the wise men from the East. At Christmas, we too bring gifts and offer them to the Lord - in response, the Lord Jesus manifests himself to us anew and asks us to make him known to all peoples. Why not start with friends and family, the person next to you on the bus, before reaching out to peoples far and wide!
PARISH BUSINESS MANAGER
This week we also welcome a new member of staff in the parish - Neil Monet, our new Business Manager. He has taken over the accounts from Mary who retired in summer, but his duties will gradually extend to the administration of the office and property matters in the parish. With the reduced number of priests in the parish, and the necessity that we be available primarily for pastoral, teaching and liturgical functions, Neil's role in freeing us up will become more and more essential.
